Which antivirus with active protection uses the least resources? I need an antivirus for a pc with low specs and installing linux isn't an option. The computer has Win FLP on it 64 MB Ram and is used for editing in Word 2000. So far it works great but i need an antivirus. On my other computers i use Softwin Bitdefender because i have the license already(comes with a magazine i read monthly). But it uses way to much memory to be usable on the legacy pc.

As I am browsing the internet on my computer now, I got the above message. What is cookie? How could a cookie be tracking my computer and what for? The antivirus also reported that, it requires attention. How do I take care of it? I even noticed that, my computer just became much slower than usual, could it be responsible? What should I do?

I know that Norton might rock, but myself personally, I can't tolerate the way it uses all of my ram and slows my computer down. I use spy bot, but that isn't enough. Is there anyone out there who knows of an antivirus program that will not eat up my bank account or my computer's capacity to function at a normal rate? Thank you for your time......
